GLOBAL IMPACT LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE (GILA) TEAM MEETS MPS TO DEEPEN LINKAGE WITH COMMUNITIES

The Chief Executive Officer of GILA Dr Larita Rice Barnes and the Advisor, Bishop Juard Barnes have today met with Members of Parliament from across the country who were led by Hon Atima Jackson Lee Buti MP Arua Central Division, and held a highly productive engagement on many issues of collaboration and linkages between communities. The discussions looked at areas of twining cities, municipalities, districts and institutions in the areas of health, education, business, technology, leadership development and training, ministry and connections in this trans - atlantic arrangement, that seeks to build more resilient communities.


GILA is an organization which is committed to meet the extensive needs of the ever changing world through it's resources and relationships formed on a global level. It has a vision to support and connect developing countries through economic development, advocacy, through legislation, fund development and spiritual growth; with a focus on enhancement through innovative ideas which increase economic development through import and export of goods and services.


"We are very appreciative of the leadership of Parliament especially Rt Hon Anita Annet Among our Speaker and the Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa for the warm reception accorded to the Global Impact Leadership Alliance team and coordination our meeting with them, it's really great, and we envision better linkages with our communities for the good of man kind, we also welcome the team to visit the different parts of the country and network with our people "noted Hon Atima


The meeting was attended by Hon Oguzu Lee Denis MP Maracha County, Hon Etuka Isaac MP Upper Madi, Hon Achibu Agnes MP Nebbi District, Hon Anywar Ricky MP Agago, Hon Isamat Abraham MP Kapir county, Hon Chemaswet Kisos MP Soi County, Hon Hanifa Nabukeera MP Mukono District, Hon Atugonza Allan MP Bulisa County, Hon Acora Nancy MP Lamwo District and Hon Chemutai Everlyn MP Bukwo District


Dr Larita Rice Barnes and Bishop Juard Barnes appreciated the MPs for the insightful engagement, and their commitment to work together for the transformation of communities through partnership, linkages with institutions in US and Uganda, and coordination of health, education, technical, and economic support efforts geared towards attainment of the visions and objectives of Global Impact Leadership Alliance, which is the flagship vehicle their interventions.


"We have a good history of working with leaders and the people of Uganda, we started coming to Uganda in 2014, and we have found Uganda, a good place to work in, with our planned interventions, we are hopeful for better working relationship for the benefit of our people " noted GILA team.


Earlier in the morning the team had a meeting with Rt Hon Anita Annet Among, Speaker of Parliament and deliberated on many issues and explored on avenues of collaboration.


The MPs committed to work with Global Impact Leadership Alliance and be the link between the organization and thier people in the constituencies across the country, and invited the team to do more benchmarking with the ordinary people and develop a more robust intervention and support program.
